Artemis Venison is based in Peterhead, on Scotland's rugged north-east coast. We exist to connect the deer culled responsibly on Scottish estates with the people, businesses and kitchens that want to cook with truly wild meat.
Every cut we sell starts life on a hillside, not a farm. Deer numbers across Scotland are managed by professional stalkers and estate teams as part of conservation and land management — our job is to make sure that meat doesn't go to waste, and instead reaches discerning customers across the country.
Hand-Cut, Snap-Frozen, Done Properly
Once a carcass reaches us, it's broken down and hand-cut into the joints and cuts on our menu. Everything is frozen at its peak — locking in flavour and tenderness rather than letting it fade in a fridge.
Because everything is frozen, we can ship anywhere in the UK without compromising on quality, while also keeping a steady local supply on display and for sale at Fishbook Takeaway Café here in Peterhead.
